Chief Consultant:

Lynnus F. Peng, M.D. is an Anesthesiologist and an Emergency Medicine
physician.  Currently, he is Chairman of Anesthesia at St Jude Medical Center in
Fullerton, California.  He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University
of California-Irvine Department of Anesthesia.

Dr. Peng received his anesthesia training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in
Baltimore, MD, where he was also an instructor for a number of years.  
Additionally, he is trained as an emergency medicine physician, was a former
Chief Resident at UC Irvine, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of
Emergency Medicine.

He has authored several publications and contributions, including articles in
eMedicine and in eMedicineHealth on Outpatient Surgery.

Consultant:

John B. MacCarthy , M.D. is currently the Co-Director of Surgical Services at St.
Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California and president of Fullerton
Anesthesia Associates.

Dr. MacCarthy graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in
1986 and completed his Internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego prior to
serving as the Medical Officer for Destroyer Squadron 35 in Pearl Harbor, HI.  
He completed his anesthesia residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego in
1992 and has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology since
1993.  

He served as a clinical instructor and Co-Director of Cardiac and
Neuroanesthesia at Naval Medical Center San Diego and was named Instructor
of the Year in 1994.

Dr. MacCarthy has been in private practice in Southern California since 1994
and has an interest in operating room efficiency and medical decision analysis.
